Production Specialist (Drafter)

Description

Zerr Berg Architects is seeking a full‑time Production Specialist to support project teams in producing accurate, high‑quality Revit‑based construction documents. This role works closely with architects and project managers across multiple projects, developing construction drawings, detailed models, and technical documentation while ensuring consistency, precision, and adherence to firm standards. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail‑oriented, and eager to grow within a collaborative, supportive studio environment.

Responsibilities

• Produce high‑quality construction documents and detailed drawings using Revit
• Collaborate with architects and project managers to refine and update project documentation
• Develop floor plans, sections, elevations, schedules, and details in alignment with project standards
• Interpret markups and redlines with accuracy and consistency
• Model existing conditions based on available plans and onsite observations, ensuring a high level of accuracy. This includes interpreting older hand‑drawn or scanned drawings
• Maintain organized drawing files and support quality control checks across project phases
• Participate in coordination efforts with consultants and project teams as needed
• Provide drafting and production support throughout all project phases

Qualifications

• Associate degree in drafting, architectural technology, or related field; or equivalent experience
• Minimum three years of drafting experience in architecture, engineering, or construction
• Proficiency in Revit and ability to work independently in a production environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team setting
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and project priorities
• Positive, solution‑oriented approach with a willingness to learn

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud
• Drafting experience with institutional, commercial, or large‑scale projects
• Understanding of building systems, construction methods, or architectural detailing
• Strong organizational skills and familiarity with document management workflows
