Community Baptist Church is located in South Fargo. The congregation was established more than 35 years ago and was housed in a pre-engineered metal building in which the worship, fellowship, education, and administrative functions occupied 10,000 SF. ZBA was thoroughly involved with the congregation developing and clarifying the theological concepts and ideas that were represented in the architecture of the new worship space.
The 9,500 SF addition includes a new worship space, prayer room, sacristy, toilets, mechanical rooms, and administrative offices for the pastor and secretary. The addition also includes a new entrance and foyer area that connects the new worship space with the original building. The existing spaces were remodeled and continue to serve fellowship and educational functions.
The church’s sanctuary includes seating for 220 and features a traditionally configured nave. The chancel platform includes a very prominent centralized pulpit, a table for the communion meal, and a “living water” well that allows for full immersion baptisms.
