As school buildings age and requirements for accessibility and education conform with modern advances, older educational facilities end up needing upgrades and additional space to meet needs. The Midkota Public School building was no exception. The oldest part of the building was deemed unsavable and was demolished to make room for a new addition with classrooms, ADA compliant toilet rooms and a new media center. The mechanical system, lighting and finishes were upgraded throughout the existing building to bring a cohesive feel between the two areas.
