An incredible addition to the skyline of south Fargo with a bell tower soaring nearly 150′, the Holy Cross Catholic Church completes the second phase of the congregation’s master plan. Consisting of a 32,000 sf worship space with accompanying support spaces, the church seats 1,000 people on the main floor with seating for another 100 in the balcony.
Spaces include the nave, sanctuary, narthex, classroom, bride room, restrooms, sacristy, music balcony, and bell tower. The narthex connects to an existing circulation hallway in the existing building with abundant natural light. This space is also close in proximity to the bride room which is utilized for additional multi-purpose classroom space and smaller gatherings.
The design utilizes a Romanesque style, with rounded arches, a cruciform plan, and an exposed wood structure above. In each of the transepts, there is a large rose window. Future plans include adding an organ to the organ chamber and inserting stained glass windows.
